PRIVACY POLICY

what we collect, how we use it, your rights

Legal Entity

fingerprint.dev is a product of Helium LLC. References to fingerprint.dev, we, us, or our mean Helium LLC as the operator of the service.

What We Collect

Account details (name, email, hashed password), API key metadata, usage counts, billing identifiers, support correspondence, analytics events, campaign attribution parameters, and the device-fingerprint signals required to deliver the service.

How We Use It

To operate, secure, and improve the service, to bill correctly, to understand which pages and campaigns lead to signups, and to communicate operational changes. We do not sell personal data.

Analytics and Attribution

We use product and web analytics to understand aggregate usage, improve onboarding, and measure advertising performance. These events may include page URLs, referrers, link clicks, account identifiers, plan selections, and campaign parameters such as UTM fields or ad click IDs including gclid, gbraid, and wbraid.

Sharing and Third Parties

We share only the minimum data needed for each provider to perform its role. Stripe processes billing and tax data; PostHog processes analytics and attribution events; infrastructure providers process hosted application data, logs, and traffic metadata. Where possible, we use internal, pseudonymous, hashed, or otherwise minimized identifiers instead of directly identifying data. We only share data with vendors that help us operate the service and are bound by contracts to protect it.

Cookies and Local Storage

The dashboard uses local storage for session state and preferences. We may use first-party cookies or local storage for analytics identity and campaign attribution across fingerprint.dev subdomains. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Data Retention

Account and billing records are retained while your account is active and for the period required by law. Identify-event records are retained per the plan you select.

User Rights

EU/UK users have rights under GDPR and California users have rights under CCPA, including access, correction, and deletion. Submit requests to legal@fingerprint.dev.

Security

We use TLS in transit, hashed credentials, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of material breaches as required by law.

International Transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Children's Privacy

The service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the dashboard or by email before they take effect.
